DESCRIPTION:Cooking encourages children’s thinking\, problem-solving\, and creativity. It also allows the children the opportunity to use the knowledge they have and apply it by measuring\, cause and effect\, and counting. Parents and children cooking together teaches early math and science\, encourages families to share meals more often\, and get to know each other on a deeper level. The most important thing to remember is to have fun with your children as they have those learning experiences and learn about the joy of cooking.

They are mastering skills when they are crawling\, jumping\, walking and running\, but then you add music and they are building even more skills like listening\, following directions\, and language. These are some of the skills needed for Kindergarten readiness. You and your child (ages 0-5) are learning when you are dancing\, listening to music \, or singing together. Come by the Union Apartments the 1st Friday of every month and get moving!
