Fitness Zone Policies

Please Note: Failure to comply with any policies, regulations or directions of a staff may result in suspension of Fitness Zone privileges.

Financial Policies

General Policies

    • All members and guests must check-in at the Front Desk before using the facility.
    • Age Requirements:
      • Fitness Zone’s Cardio Equipment & Strength Training Machines: 13 years old
      • Free Weight Room Area: 14 years old
      • All members middle school age or younger must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
    • No food or drink, except water bottles, is allowed.
    • Foul language, horseplay, fighting or intimidating behavior is not permitted.
    • Proper athletic apparel is required. No street clothing, such as jeans, dress pants, hard soled shoes, boots, open-toe shoes, or anything that compromises the safety and professionalism of the weight and fitness rooms is allowed.
    • A shirt must be worn at all times. Proper attire includes shirt, shorts/pants and sneakers/tennis shoes.
    • Cellphone conversations are not permitted in the Fitness Zone area. Do not use speaker phone. You may only listen to personal music through headphones.
    • All equipment must remain in the Fitness Zone area.
    • Outside personal training is not allowed.
    • Older adults and members with disabilities have priority to use the downstairs cardio equipment.
    • 30-minute workout time limit on all cardio equipment when another member is waiting.
    • Gym bags, and all other personal belongings, must be stored in a locked locker. Members need to bring their own lock for a locker. Items may not be left in lockers overnight. Lockers will be cleared every night by staff.
    • Members must bring their own towel, soap, etc. to shower.
    • The Fitness Zone staff is not responsible for the loss of personal items.
    • You must ask a staff member to change the channel on TVs from the approved channel list.
    • Immediately report any facility related injuries or equipment irregularity to the facility staff on duty.

Gymnasium Policies

  • All members and guests must check-in at the Front Desk before using the facility.

  • Shirt must be worn at all times.
  • Appropriate, non-marking sole, footwear is required.
  • No hanging on the rims.
  • Be aware and respect all posted schedules.
  • Fitness Zone staff is in charge at all times and all decisions are final.

Weightroom Policies

  • Return dumbbells, plates, and all other exercise equipment to racks after each use.
  • Do not drop, slam, or hit weights together.
  • Use a spotter at all times when using the free weights.
  • Chalk is prohibited.
  • Please wipe off equipment after each use with cleaning towels and disinfectant.
  • Please do not rest on machines while others are waiting.
  • Please use one machine at the time.

YOUTH/CHILDREN at the Legacy Center/Fitness Zone

  • All youth 17 years old & under must have a legal guardian or parent present to sign up for a membership or guest pass.
  • All youth under high school age (middle school and under), must be accompanied/supervised by an adult at all times when using the facility.
  • Adults must have an active Family membership to be able to bring their children with them or the children needs to have an active Youth membership to be in the facility.
  • Anyone going inside the fitness zone (working out or not) must be a member or needs to pay for the guest pass, including children.
  • Children are not allowed to sit in the lobby area without an adult direct supervision.

Member's Right to Cancel

If you wish to CANCEL, the notice must be delivered 10 days prior to the 1st day of the month upon which your next charge will be due.

Member's Right to Freeze

If for any reason you are not going to use your membership for a month or more and you wish to FREEZE your membership without payment, the notice must be delivered 10 days prior to the 1st day of the month upon which your next charge will be due. Otherwise we will assume that your membership is still active and you will be charged each month as usual plus late fees.

Late Fee Policy

Member agrees to pay a $10.00 LATE FEE per month if the monthly payment is received more than ten (10) days past the due date.

Lapsed Member Fee

  • Any member whose membership is cancelled due to non- payment will be charged a $20 lapsed member fee in order to reestablish their membership at the Boner Fitness and Learning Center.
  • If members do not pay by the 10th of the month, their accounts will be frozen until the end of that month. If membership is paid by the end of the month, only the $10.00 late fee will be assessed. On the first of the following month, members who have still not paid their membership fee will be cancelled.
  • When/if cancelled members come to reestablish their memberships, they will be charged a $20 lapsed member fee.
  • Members will still have the right to cancel their memberships according to our cancellation policy and will not be assessed the lapsed member fee when/if they choose to reestablish their membership.
  • Members will still have the right to freeze their memberships for up to 3 months according to our policy and not be assessed a lapsed member fee when they choose to reactivate their membership.
  • Memberships that have not been paid by the 10th will be frozen and they will not be able to use the facility until a payment has been made.
